I write books and stuff for tweens.

I'm the author of "Class Favorite" and "Total Knockout: Tale of an Ex-Class President," both published by Simon & Schuster's Aladdin/MIX.

I have a new book coming out from MIX in 2011 called "BFF Breakup." It's about, well, best friends who break up.

Also in 2011 I have a new tween series called "Hello, Gorgeous!" published by Grosset & Dunlap. It's about a 12-year-old girl who works at her mom's hair salon and is a bit of a blabbermouth.

I'm a native Texan and have lived in New York City since 2001. I have lived in lots of other places, but none as great (or challenging) as this.

I like awards shows, celebrity gossip and cheese enchiladas. I am a horrible gift-giver and have a terrible palate.
